It's a wonderful story and I enjoy your writing. Here's an error I caught back in Ch. 40, but I didn't want the comment to get lost: "‘No, I didn’t see what happened, she was me I think. All I know is that she didn’t make it back with the rest of us.’" I think there should be something like "behind" between 'was' and 'me'. Looking forward to the next chapter!
